Terms

These terms govern your use of Truer. If you don't accept them, don't use the site. If you do, the rules below are the rules.

What Truer is

Truer is a self-knowledge platform built on the Human Design framework. It produces written readings, charts, and prompts based on a birth date, time, and place you provide. It is operated by Truer Inc., an independent company, and is not affiliated with any official Human Design school, lineage, or certifying body.

What Human Design is (and isn't)

Human Design is a contemplative framework for self-reflection synthesized in the late 20th century. It draws on astrology, the I Ching, the Kabbalah, the chakra system, and quantum physics metaphors. It is not a scientific theory and has not been validated by peer-reviewed research. We treat it as a useful set of distinctions for thinking about how you operate — not as a predictive system, a diagnosis, or a description of empirical reality. The value is in whether the lenses help you notice something true about yourself, not in whether the underlying metaphysics are correct.

What Truer isn't

Truer is not medical, psychological, financial, or legal advice. It does not diagnose, treat, predict, or replace professional care of any kind. The readings are not therapy and are not a substitute for therapy. They do not detect, cure, or treat any physical or mental condition. They are not financial planning, legal counsel, or career advice. Treat the readings the way you'd treat a good therapist's reframe: useful if it lands, ignore if it doesn't.

If you are in mental-health crisis, stop reading and call 988 (US Suicide and Crisis Lifeline) or your local emergency number. Truer is not equipped to help in an emergency.

How readings are produced (AI disclosure)

The 5-dimensional reading and the chart-based prose on this site are produced by a large language model — currently Anthropic's Claude — running against prompts we author and a chart we calculate from your birth data. The model is capable of producing confident-sounding text that is occasionally wrong, internally inconsistent, or out-of-place for your specific design. Treat each reading as a draft to react to, not as ground truth. We work actively on prompt quality and on validating outputs against certified Human Design analysts, but we cannot guarantee any specific paragraph is accurate.

We do not use your birth data, journal entries, or any other personal content to train AI models. See privacy for specifics.

Eligibility

Truer is intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or purchase a membership. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Your account

You can use the free chart generator without an account. Membership requires a real email address and a payment method. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials private and for the activity that happens under your account.

Payments and refunds

Membership renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account; cancellation stops future renewals and you keep access through the end of the paid period. If something goes wrong with a charge, email hello@livetruer.com within 14 days and we'll work it out.

For 1:1 sessions, cancellations more than 48 hours before the booked time are fully refundable. Inside 48 hours, we'll reschedule once at no charge but cannot refund.

Your content

Anything you save to Truer — birth data, journal entries, notes — remains yours. We don't use it to train models, sell it, or share it. You can export or delete it at any time. See privacy for specifics.

Our content

Truer's writing, design, code, and the bodygraph rendering are ours. Don't republish our reading text, paywalled or otherwise, without permission. Quoting a paragraph in a review or essay is fine and we encourage it.

Acceptable use

Don't try to break, scrape, overload, or impersonate the site. Don't use Truer to harass other people, including by generating compatibility readings against someone who hasn't consented to it. We may suspend or terminate accounts that do.

Disclaimers

Truer is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We work hard on accuracy, but we don't warrant that every chart calculation, every interpretation, or every uptime minute will be perfect. We do not warrant that any reading is correct for your design, will produce a particular outcome, or is appropriate for any decision you might base on it.

Within the limits of the law, our total liability for any single dispute is capped at the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the prior twelve months or (b) one hundred US dollars. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, special, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost data, or harm arising from decisions you made based on a reading.

Disputes and arbitration

If a dispute arises, contact us first at hello@livetruer.com and give us 30 days to work it out. If we can't resolve it, you agree that any remaining dispute will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by JAMS under its Streamlined Arbitration Rules, in San Diego County, California, or by remote proceedings if you prefer. You and Truer waive the right to a jury trial and the right to participate in a class action. Either side may bring small claims in small claims court instead of arbitration.

If a court finds the arbitration or class-action waiver unenforceable in your case, the rest of this section still applies and any remaining dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts of San Diego County, California.

Changes

We may update these terms over time. If we make a material change, we'll email registered users and update the date at the top. If you keep using Truer after a change, you're agreeing to the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
