Birth data

Human Design is a calendar-based system. To compute a chart, we need the moment you were born — the date, the time, and the place. That's a more intimate piece of information than most websites ask for. This page exists because we think you deserve a specific promise about it, not a paragraph buried in a privacy policy.

Why we need it

Your Human Design chart is calculated from the planetary positions at the moment of your birth, plus a second moment 88° of solar longitude before that ("design" time). Without an accurate date, time, and place, the chart isn't yours — it's somebody else's, or an average. If a service offers a chart without asking for time, it isn't really computing one.

The closer to the actual minute, the better. Within 15 minutes is usually fine. Within an hour is workable. If you genuinely don't know your birth time, we'll tell you which parts of the chart are uncertain rather than pretending they aren't.

Where the calculation happens

In your browser. The chart engine runs entirely on the device you opened the site on. Your birth data is not transmitted to our servers when you generate a chart on the free tier. If you want to verify this, the network tab in your browser's dev tools will show you that the chart endpoint sends no birth data.

What changes if you create an account

If you become a member, we save your chart so you don't have to re-enter your birth data each time. At that point, the data goes to our servers — encrypted in transit and at rest, accessible only to our chart engine and to you. We use it for one thing: composing your readings and your daily transit notes.

What we will never do with it

We will not sell it. We will not share it with advertisers. We will not use it to enrich third-party profiles of you. We will not cross-reference it against other databases. We will not use it to train AI models. We will not even use it inside Truer for anything other than the calculation and reading we promised you.

What you can do at any time

See it. Your account dashboard shows you exactly what we have on file.
Change it. If you find out your birth certificate had the wrong time, you can correct it and we'll regenerate the chart.
Export it. Download your chart and reading as a PDF.
Delete it. One click in settings, or one email to privacy@livetruer.com. When you delete, we delete — not "deactivate," not "soft-delete."

If we ever break this promise

We will tell you, in plain English, by email, before we do. Not after. Not in an updated terms document nobody reads. If we are acquired, the same promise transfers to whoever buys us, in writing, or we won't sell.
